Terms & Disclaimer
Last updated: 27 May 2026
These are the terms for using The Zen Office. We've kept them short and in plain language, in the same spirit as the rest of the site. Using the site means you're okay with what's below.
For educational purposes only
Everything here — the exercises, the explanations, the reasons we give for why something might help — is for educational and informational purposes only. It's general information about simple self-regulation techniques, not guidance tailored to you or your situation.
Not medical advice
The Zen Office is not a medical or mental-health service, and nothing here is medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. The exercises and text do not replace professional diagnosis, treatment, or the advice of a qualified professional, and they are not a substitute for care you may need. If you have a health concern — physical or mental — or before starting anything new that could affect your health, please speak with a qualified professional. Don't ignore or delay professional advice because of something you read here.
Not for emergencies
This site is not built for crises or urgent situations. If you're in distress, in danger, or worried about your safety or someone else's, please reach out to a qualified professional or your local emergency and crisis services straight away. A breathing exercise is not the right tool for an emergency.
Use at your own risk
You use The Zen Office at your own risk and take responsibility for how you use it. We can't promise any particular result — bodies, attention, and circumstances differ, and what helps one person may do nothing for another. Use your own judgement: if an exercise feels wrong, painful, or unsafe for you, stop and, where relevant, check with a professional.
Limited liability
The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and we don't guarantee it will be accurate, available, or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site. Nothing in these terms is meant to limit rights you have that can't be limited under applicable law.
Privacy
The Zen Office is accountless by design. There are no logins, no sign-ups, and nothing tracking whether you showed up. The one feature that remembers anything — your saved exercises — is stored only in your own browser (in local storage, as a plain list), and it's never sent anywhere. Clear your browser storage and it's gone. We hold no account for you because there isn't one.
Intellectual property
© 2026 The Zen Office — all rights reserved. The source code, text, and design of this project are protected by copyright. You're welcome to read the site and use the exercises in your own day; please don't copy or republish the content or code as your own.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you're okay with the updated terms.
These are plain-language site terms, not a contract drawn up on your behalf. For real commercial or legal use, have them reviewed by a qualified lawyer.
